your Federal income tax.

As part of the Economic Stimulus package, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 includes federal tax credits for eligible replacement windows and doors that improve energy efficiency. To be eligible, windows and doors must have both a U-Factor equal to or less than 0.30 and a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) equal to or less than 0.30.

It is easy to take advantage of this new incentive with Hanke Brothers windows. Just follow these simple guidelines:

Have your premium Hanke Brothers windows installed between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010.
Save your sales receipt and the NFRC/ENERGY STAR® labels* for your tax records.
Claim the tax cedit on your Federal Income tax forms for either 2009 or 2010.

It is important to note:

The tax credit for products subject to the $1,500 limit are only available for primary existing residences and only through 2010.
The tax credit is for the cost of the product only and does not include installation costs. Be sure to ask for a sales receipt that shows the cost of the product and installation seperately.
The credits are only available to the extent you have a tax liability.
